Hjulmand & Kaptain act as legal counsels for a large number of customers with the main emphasis on the business sector.
Our customers range from industrial groups and stock-exchange listed companies to small and medium-sized companies. Further, we provide legal services to local authorities, public agencies, commercial foundations, associations and financial institutions. Hjulmand & Kaptain have a large debt collection department and are certified with 'Riber’s Credit Agency' (previously 'RKI'). Further, we provide legal services to private individuals on any legal issue.
Hjulmand & Kaptain are authorized to represent our customers before any Danish court of law, including the Maritime and Commercial Court of Copenhagen, the Eastern and Western High Courts and the Supreme Court. As for international courts of law we are authorized to represent the customers before the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.
Several of our lawyers are authorized administrators or trustees or publicly court-assigned counsels, and several hold directorships in business companies and commercial foundations as well as positions of trust within the Danish Bar and Law Society.
A considerable part of our counselling is of an international character. For the purpose of providing an optimum service to our customers Hjulmand & Kaptain have established a close co-operation with competent law firms world-wide and are a. o. a member of the organisation of International Jurists.
