The increased equalisation of the agricultural sector has required a continuous legal specialisation for the purpose of supporting farmers at a high legal level. Through many years Hjulmand & Kaptain have been dealing with cases on behalf of farmers and providing legal services to same. Based on the experience thus acquired, we have developed a special department for agricultural law.
Hjulmand & Kaptain provide legal services on commercial rules and regulations under agricultural law and the possibility of being exempted from such. Further, our services comprise agricultural leases, agricultural undertakings, estate planning, land parcelling and amalgation as well as the overall environment.
In an EU context agriculture occupies a prominent position, and several agricultural support schemes, e.g. farming subsidies, regulations and milk quota rules, are based on EU directives.
